Rick Miller, DDM (Doctor of Medical Denturitry)
Dr. Rick Miller grew up in central Washington, right on the Columbia River. He graduated high school in 1972 and enlisted in the United States Army in July of the same year. He attended Army Basic Training at Fort Ord, California. That November, he began at a dental lab school at Fort Sam in Houston, Texas, graduating in March of 1973. After finishing his service in the Army, Dr. Miller went to work at Peerless Dental in Spokane, Washington.
In 1980, Dr. Miller opened his own dental lab but found himself dissatisfied. Instead, he decided to open Cascade Denture Clinic in 1983, which was the start of his denturist career.
He later went on to attended Idaho State University Institute of Pathology Sciences, followed by Mills Grae University, to receive his Doctorate in Medical Denturitry.
In 1985, Dr. Miller became the President of the Washington Denturist Association. He lobbied Olympia and experienced the court system to become chairman of the legal and legislative committee of the American Dental Association’s Association of the American Academy of Denturitry. He has been fighting with the National Dental Association for the right to offer specific denturist services to the public for almost 40 years.
Dr. Miller has been making full and partial dentures for over fifty years and is happy to provide life-changing, custom oral prostheses to restore the natural appearance of his patients’ smiles.
I don’t know everything, but I try. As my grandmother used to tell me: As lazy as I was… I would starve to death if I didn’t get an education. — Dr. Miller
